If new I thought you could have white or black, although what they call white could be a few shades off. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Inner wheel rim always seems to be just a light dusting of black, irrespective of whether outer rim is finished in full white or black paint.

Military green was also an ex-factory colour, but one not offered to the gen pop.

Sorry for any confusion, but my question was intended to ask what colour white are the white ones Rob

One of the reasons I got mine sprayed by a bodyshop - I detest that 'cheapo look' when you approach a parked up Defender and see that the white paint only covers the front face and even then it's so thin it appears translucent with black undercoat showing around the edges of the 'holes'. Another example of cost-cutting and value-engineering that does little to impress more educated observers. |

See Keith's earlier posting for what limestone looks like. The 'factory' white on Wolfs appears to have changed over the years - you might be as well just doing them the white to match your roof? I got mine done very cheaply by a bodyshop who were re-spraying some vans - I just accepted whatever white was in the spray gun at the time. |

I use dyna beads. ive got 265 75 16 cooper stt on boost alloys and they were covered in weights and the steering shook when i got the truck. fitted dyna beads and pulled all the weights off no problems now. Very few wheels are painted the same inside and out. As said, Coniston was a more modern colour. IMO,you don't want brilliant white, thats for sure. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. |

I have read this thread a couple of times but am not clear - has anyone done an accurate comparison between the different genuine/OEM/tuff torque wheels.
Is there a notable difference in quality/thickness in the cheaper tuff torque ones? Has anyone had any problems with the tuff torque ones? I need new tyres soon and my current OEM wheels could do with a refurb but weighing up cost/inconvenience compared to ordering a complete set of tyres and wheels online and selling the old ones. |

I recently fitted a set of probably Britpart Wolf wheels which I had professional painted white.
I compared with a mate who has an original Wolf spare and they are identical. Same thickness, same weld geometry, etc |
