Being from the emerald isle why not paint is Coniston green or similar?

Yes Coniston Green with a white roof and white wolf rims, would be a nice combination too....

Time for an update...not much done recently as I had the good fortune of been in Rio for the games.

New chassis loom arrived after 3months waiting, if you plan a rebuild this should be one of the first things on the order list, as Autosparks have a huge backlog. Quality bit of kit and fitting wasn't too bad. Covered the complete loom in conduit and fished it thru the chassis.

As the tank was out I ran a new genuine fuel line as the original had been cut short, and installed new Delphi fuel lift pump for peace of mind.

Spent most of the weekend sanding and cutting back the grubby paint work. Abranet is great stuff..... Had to strip the wings as I wasn't happy with the finish on them. Wink

Not my favourite part of the build and I now regret not painting the bulkhead completely before fitting but I was concerned I wouldn't get a decent paint match, as that was 6mths ago Shocked

Almost ready for painting now, just the back end to prep....A new pair of front doors arrived from Series to defender late last week, no fear of them getting damaged as the packaging from them is top class.

Took advantage of a dry warm day yesterday and sprayed up the front section and rear tub
.
Doors Bonnet etc will be sprayed in the booth at work. Finish is not too bad considering spraying outdoors and my open air spray booth..... Whistle

Nearly there now just the new painted doors to fit at the weekend, treated myself to a nice set of yrm stainless hinges, cause rusting hinges and bolts really p...s me off Rolling with laughter

Doors fitted now with new all new seals, sprayed all the internals with Dinitrol cavity wax, also a couple of coats hard wax on the vulnerable bottom section.
Fitted a set of Exmoor trim carpets to cab area and with the STP sounding she's nice and quite in the cab Thumbs Up

Got it insured last week as a classic as its over 20yrs old, so tax and test this week and were off.
Still not decided on a canvas back for the load area or Ifor williams galvanized one.
