Wales 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Aintree Green
Frozen door locks
Hi new to site, wonder if someone can help I know it's not winter yet however when it freezes our doors click with the fob but instantly re lock. Anyone know of a quick fix or the root cause. Thanks 110 xs 2010.

Make sure the locks are as dry as possible and use some spray silicon before the cold sets in.

The silicon helps to lubricate and stop water ingress.

Use silicon on the rubbers too, it will stop the rubbers freezing to the doors.

Hi we had exactly the same on our 2010 90 and we cured it by taking the drivers door card of and spraying the metal rods that work the central locking with ACF 50 it solved it instantly,we never had the issue again Thumbs Up really easy fix that the dealer in Oxford could not fix and actually requested us to take the Land Rover to them when there was going to be a frost Rolling Eyes as this was when it occured Thumbs Up Paul Tash n Barney
