^^^Well, if I go with a V8/Auto configuration, you've got a sale if you can make any copies!! Just got out of my DC and was guesstimating your CAD dimensions, and was wondering where you see the diff lever going or can WC make that an electric function as well? mcma 1,..I did ask about instrumentation. Will you be using your standard Puma insruments/dash etc with your LS3.
And I agree that "Auto" is the way to go,...it will be MUCH smoother, and the LS3 will love it. Glad you're going with AP brakes, can't beat 'em,....6 spot front & 4 spot rear? Pickles. |

Hi Pickles,
Yes the wildcat install uses the original instruments so keeps the factory look which I wanted. BBK is 6 pot front and 4 rear, most of the components are machined to order, definitely an essential mod I think for this install Andy 2014 Fuji 110 SW LS3 https://www.defender2.net/forum/post751233.html#751233 2014 Corris 110 SW http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40056.html My old Xtech 90 build.. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15681.html LS3 V8 build... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic49051.html |

I think this is going to be awesome however I've not one significant flaw in this proposal - I doubt you'll get 40mpg unlike with the 2.4 tdci
I'll still be pulling up my most comfy chair |

Andy
Its going to be great Are you thinking if not already of a roll cage? Even in my std car I am mindful if 'making progress' it's not that safe... Great centre console, |

Yes mate, a roll cage is planned but it will be my only design. I am going to removed the third row seats ( never been sat in ) and design a more GT like cage internally. At that point I would likely put utility panels on the back. Andy

I'm currently doing basically the same project myself. 2015 l77 (6.0 ls2) with 6l80 auto, lt230, Ashcroft U/D, into my td5 Defender.
I am running a more traditional shifter assembly to try and make it difficult to notice the difference when the std tunnel and dash is back in. I will be running the tapup/tapdown aswell on a separate switch box. I don't think paddles are a practical solution for my application. Loom will be standalone setup from Speartech.
