Transfer box
Morning Everyone
Can I fit a Disco 2 t/box into the 90? If so will it alter the speedo etc?
Cheers Life is one big adventure, that's why we have the vehicle for the journey.

There's no reason why you shouldn't keep the CDL from the 90 TB on the D2 TB.

most D2 boxes don't have the diff lock internals fitted, they have the high and low, not te diff lock. Take them both part nd make a good one out of the two Thumbs Up

Ashcroft don't do quiet gears, and they are .............

The gearing does make a good change for the better, but I would not bother if I new how much work it involved to get one decent box from a supplier.

4 trans boxes later and 4 Gboxes later I am getting there

Make sure you keep the CDL, BUT you will loose the PULL from the lights. I did miss this in the dunes, but not on the drive to them

Hello,

I bought my td5 with what I was told Disco gearing, after a little research I am happy it has it. I still have the Defender transfer box after checking the numbers but the rpm at 60 mph is equivalent to a disco.

I guess it has just the gears then, and yes they are noisy, I though I had a bearing going but it must just be these gears. Right where I cruise at 60 mph it drives me nuts. wwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I have top quality oil too..
