Bed in Defender 110 5 door

Here is my design for a bed in the Defender 110 5 door i wanted something that was very easy and simple, it only takes about 3min to convert to a bed.

The defender second row seat pivot point is changed allowing the back of the seat to pivot back(normally the back of the seat only goes forward into the bottom seat) so after releasing the seat it then goes forward as normal but the back of the seat tilts back when the bottom seat is fully forward, then as the bottom seat goes
back the back seat can then go under the seat release lock mechanism making both seats flat.

On the back of the seat i have mounted a table top, this can be used as a table and is also used as the bed base.

The right bench seat is used for the end of the bed this is easily removed, the top of the bench seat stays in place.

Please note that the brackets i have used to change the seat pivot points will be beefed up and i would like to add some locking mechanism on the left seat pivot and change that table top.

The bottom seat does sit higher when as a seat after this is done, but is not that noticeable.

That's fantastic.

Have you seen the YouTube channel "Roaming The Outback"? He's set up a 110 with a bed a bit like that might be interesting (or not!).

Yap. With Puma seats the bed unfolds just at the bottom edge of the sliding window i.e. about 20 cm higher.

Very interesting, but the part about the pivot point change sounds complicated, can't imagine what you did - could you elaborate on this, please? Cheers, Vincent
