car started a treat this morning (all covered in ice)
but then I noticed the heat screen didn't want to stay on for more a few second, then i noticed the temp gauge had gone through the roof, rev counter not working and in limp mode along with t/c light and battery light - but no engine management light? any thoughts MAF sensor ? |

I'd say thats an electrical issue. if you dont have a diagnostic tool then dealer it is.

My wife's Subaru's battery lasted 3 days from new in a hot Perth summer on a new vehicle, it happens.

just got back.
the battery appears to be fine. the engine starts without any hesitation - albeit in limb / reduced power the earther terminals are apparently all ok - LRA checked. LRA been doing this 10+ yrs never seen anything like it nor any of his mates so high temp gauge, no heated front screen (well only for a second or 2), no rev counter, battery light and tc light remain on? so lap top plugged in and it can't link up to the ecu ? doesnt recognise the engine? so just dropped it off at the dealers for them to play will let you know when I know more but in the mean time if anyone else has had similar would love to know? |

yes amazing they've let me have a RR Vogue V8 - fantastic engine!
only joking I can do without it for a couple of days (good excuse to get on the bike and save some fuel and get fit). can't wait to find out what the problem was though? |

sent email to dealers but no reply
can't wait to find out whats gone wrong. I've got a bad feeling about the wiring loom though - hopefully the plug connector that FELL off due to corrosion was a one off and the rest is fine |
