Hello folks,

After being enticed by the charms of a D3, I sold my last Defender a couple of years ago. However, having convinced my darling wife to trade in her Freelander 2 for a D4 and buying an ordinary car for the daily commute, I've now bought myself a 90 as a toy!

It's a very standard and largely original 1992 200tdi and apart from evidence that it was painted pink at one time Shocked it hasn't been messed around with at all. It goes and stops very nicely, although the steering is vague even by Defender standards, so is getting a new steering box before I collect it a week on Saturday.

The seats are tatty, so they will get re-upholstered in due course.

I spent ten minutes making a list of all of the tweaks and changes that I'd like to make and quickly exceeded the cost of the base vehicle Laughing The one thing that is definitely on the cards for the spring though, is a soft top conversion!

I can't wait Very Happy Darren

Great looking truck! Painted pink? Maybe it worked as one of the jack wills defenders in a previous life?

Yeah, I know. It'll be great Laughing

Even though I haven't got it yet, I couldn't resist making a few small purchases in preparation. Firstly, I picked up these 'deluxe' grab handles from eBay:

Then I found this alloy badge for a bargain price at the Great Dorset Steam Fair:

Collected it today! Woo hoo! It's noisy, draughty, a bit rough around the edges and I love it.

Unfortunately, the weather has been rubbish this afternoon, which has limited my play time and photo opportunities, but my friend took this one outside his house just after collection:
