We maybe heading down there also on Tuesday Rosco, so may see you down there AND at the end of the month to Dinitrol your Defender
My sister has a holiday home on the creek in Mylor Harbour and my parents have lived there for the last twenty odd years after retirement. They had a holiday home right on the front in Trevone so childhood memories of Cornwall are strong, such a shame a lot of it is ruined by tourism now. I wouldn,t go near Padstow or St Ives etc in the summer John Betjamen thought tourism was bad in his day, he would throw himself off a North Cornish cliff if he saw what it was like now . Most locals get out during the holidays... |

We'll be over by Cadgwith. The outlaws have a static down there so we go down most years with the kids for a "cheap" holiday. Looking forward to it. Be interesting to see how busy RNAS Culdrose is now that 771 SQN have disbanded.
I'm sure there will still be plenty of helicopters buzzing around though 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Just back from some very hot days in the Kruger National Park, my Defender right at home there.
Several superb lion sightings, elephants everywhere, spent 30 minutes following and being circled by a pack of 9 hyenas and, pleasingly, over ten separate rhino sightings in a day. The rhino sightings are like gems given the current scourge of poaching. To hear the choppers overhead is heartbreaking knowing that it probably means another kill. The park is drier than I've ever seen it but plenty of game, all species. Our approach is always to get to the most out of the way places in the park; great Defender times. Bought some heavy duty rear drive flanges and got the wrong ones then tried to fit the new old man emu rear shocks and I can't get the old bottom shock nut off so put it back together and gave up Ray
