Excellent pics, love the milky way and hope to see it with my own eyes one day, but it's too damn light around here. Ray

Fantastic photos! I'd love to do that one day. I'm very lucky to be able to see the Milky way most nights where I live. I often lay out in a hammock just staring into space. and then I start counting satellites and that can go on and on

That looks brilliant, could you share who you used for the vehicle hiring?

hairysteve - we rented the trucks from www.bushlore.com
They're based in Joburg but also have an office in windhoek. Trucks were really well kitted out with twin tents, full bedding / towels / sleeping bags. full camp kitchen incl. fridge/freezer. Built in water tanks, long range fuel tanks, twin gas bottles / burners. Twin spare wheels, full recovery kit including winch, tow straps, tyres inflators, puncture repair kits, hi-lift etc etc. Basically picked them up, filled up with food and water and off we went |

macfrank - We initially tried to rent defenders from bushlore but they've stopped doing them now as they were spending 25% of their time in the workshop
It's definitely Toyota country out there now..... |
