Only up to td5s, Pumas don't need them as they are part of the dash Ray

Yes I notice that, but they are visible from underneath.. And rear door check straps are visible as well. I am looking for a solution to cover them. It's because of kids, I am worried they might touch it or put there feet there while someone closing/opening the door..

Ah I see. To accommodate the amount of movement in the checkstrap itself it would have to be quite a big cover and as far as I'm aware no one makes a "full" cover. On a side note none of my 4 kids have ever tried to touch or been hurt by the checkstraps from birth right through to adulthood. Ray

I can't say I've ever seen or heard of anyone being injured by a Defender door check-strap. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

When we were kids (around 6/7 years old) I closed the back door of the family 110 on my little sisters fingers. Of course it was entirely accidental. She was (understandably) screaming and I was also upset that I'd done something wrong and hurt her. Fortunately the panel gaps on Land Rovers are so bad that 6 year old fingers can fit in there. She was wearing gloves and Mum and Dad later told me that every thread in the weave of the gloves was imprinted into her fingers. A close call, but disaster averted. I have always been careful about closing car doors from that day. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

My 4 year old did the same to my 2 year last week green machine lots of screaming and crying but fingers intact, thank god for Land Rover panel gaps Rolling with laughter maybe it's a Land Rover safety feature. Anyway I sure that me rushing to open the back door and smacking the 2 year old in the face with it hurt more Whistle

Thanks for the valuable opinions, I don't think (learning from you guys) there would be a market for a "full" check strap cover anyway.. Rolling with laughter.. So I suppose no one would consider manufacturing them. I give up my search..
