Have you upgraded your h4 lamps to a higher wattage? Sounds like your switch has partially melted

Most likely the switch has melted, do a search on this site loads of info.
There are a few kits available to help with the issue, basically all the voltage to the lights goes through three light switch. 2023 Defender L663 V8 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 (gone) 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

Hi All!
Still using standard wattage lamps, albeit they be Osram Nightbreaker Ultras. I already have the Land Reizinger kit installed plus a redundant relays installed as well. New switch was installed a few months back and with the wiring kits, I was presuming that this will no longer be a problem so what gives? Since I'll have the steering cowls removed to check the ignition switch to eliminate this as a culprit for another issue I'm encountering, I'll let the sparky check the switch as well then. If anyone else has any ideas, please do chime in. I see the sparky next week so it would be nice to hand him a list of possibilities to check. That, plus the earth cheat sheet for him to ponder over as well. |

Check the relays of the new installation.
Happens sometimes in wet climates that the relays goes weird due water ingress. Cheers and good luck Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |
