I'm there at Easter. Do you think the VRs will be lifted by then?

I rang the range office and they said that there are no restrictions now. Anyone know different? Merlin

The flags were up for a prolonged time over june/july due to exercises and (I think) the summer solstice; flags to keep the great unwashed stone worshipers out of the areas (they were all congregating around the junction from Larkhill road and Rollestone camp.
Flags are down now for the summer shut down. It's quite quiet out there at the moment; Imber is "open" to the public until the 22nd August. No more land wardens around, but they've been replaced by 9x Range safety orificers, who patrol the areas (saw a couple in Imber Wednesday evening around 21:00hrs) and they seem to have skipped the "talking to people in a polite manner" course too.... |
