Presumably so that the Defender feels luxurious?

I have had one for a couple of years. Nearly original '77 truck cab. As I miss the '58 S2, I had 5 years ago, thinking of modifying with a S2 front panel for the classic "Landy" look with inner headlamps. And Nolden Matt black LEDs for the wings as less conspicuous (cue Brendan). Probably heresy to some, but best of modern and classic to me. Inertia reel seat belts and tubeless tyres already. PSU in future planned. But I will keep the 2.5 original motor. (As a Puma owner too, I love the vent flaps, and roomier cab) Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
