I agree with you and was keen to get mine done along with the rear quarters but on approaching Urban got this reply, so have canned the idea:
"I'm afraid it's not something that we would undertake here. We could supply a station wagon roof for you however we wouldn't want to be liable for any leaks if we were to cut the windows in etc as the top cut-outs in the roof have a small ridge from factory which helps the rubber seal to keep out any water" Sorry, no help to you, but thought it might be worth passing on to you . . . . . . . Interesting. Wondering whether some sikaflex along with the seals would do the job.
I already have the windows and seals and the place it is being resprayed at said no problem to cut the roof for them. As it has van sides, I think the hard top roof makes it look a bit too van like for my liking, which is why I wanted to put the roof windows in. It has the rear quarter windows in already. |

I'm interested in how you get on with this, thinking of doing the same to the 110 to let more light into the back.
Sikaflex should do the job but may be quite messy also. Have a look for Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure, it did a great job of sealing my roof join and windscreen seal. |

Be warned, they are a right royal b*****d to fit even with the apertures factory pre cut. With a plain roof your cutting really needs to be spot on otherwise you will end up regretting ever attempting the job.
Take the advice of someone who's done a few of these over the years - it's far simpler to buy a complete roof with the windows already fitted. Steve. That's OK L90DNY Happyoldgit has a point, but it depends on exactly how you are having this done to your 90. The OEM Safari Windows actually sit slightly recessed in a 'pocket profile' formed as a secondary stamped process to a standard roof. The rubber seal sits a few mm into this 'recessed area' (which you can just make out below). Retro fitted Safari Windows are common enough, but as suggested who ever does this should follow the 'carpenters rule'... measure twice cut once... 
Mine have been in and out to have the Vinyl Wrap taken right through and underneath the seals... I saw the seals and windows refitted to another vehicle and it's a neat trick, inserting a length of strong cord (or even electrical cable) right around the outer cavity of the seal (which is installed around the glass, the whole lot is positioned in place and the lip of the seal in one area sent through the aperture...the seal is then 'rolled' through the hole and into position by pulling the cord around the outside of the glass / seal...

That's the standard way of doing it - the smaller the glass the harder the job. Steve.
