White lettering on the outside is for limp wristed effeminate Jeep Wrangler drivers who are strictly Modern Men - wooo ducky chase me !!!
Well they do always seem to drive rag top Wranglers! Last edited by Grouse on 2nd Aug 2016 8:22pm. Edited 1 time in total |

^^^^ I hope someone isn't multiple voting...
When your tyres are covered in mud you won't see the white letters, so you'll be fine in the 110 Cheers Simon |

bear100, to be helpful though...in all honesty, I forgot to tell the fitters to put the white lettering in, and when the car turned up I couldn't be bothered. But, I think it's more Defender like with white letters in. Very subjective choice though MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

I have them inside on the 110, but to the outside on the Disco. Thin I'd stick with that if I were to be fitting them again tomorrow. Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap

My Mum used to say (along with such gems as "Fur coat and no knickers", or when as a little kid I cried when I grazed my knee: "Never mind, the more you cry, the less you pee", and when in later years I'd bring home a particularly slutty-looking girlfriend: "Mmm, SHE won't die a-wondering"): "If you've got it, flaunt it... but if you've got to flaunt it, you ain't got it".
Peter But I actually like white lettering on big wheels/tyres! |

No to RWL. I fitted mine inside and my mate said what had I done? Should have been outside. Well I said I prefer inwards. So do what you want, it's your truck to do as you please.

Depends on the rest of the scheme going on with the vehicle.
I chose out as the lettering compliments and highlights the replacement lower driver's door hinge: Click image to enlarge One issue I had with 'in' is that the lettering is still quite visible (esp. on the front) if the viewer is far enough away - but still close enough to be able to discern it. ( A leaking caliper, axle/hub oil seal, swivel seal will solve that though! ) But IMO without dirt/etc. it basically reads like 'oh so you're trying to hide it ...' - which is more of an affectation than just not caring and going with standard (which I'd guess is 'out'). Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |
