On request via my local dealer, JLR Switzerland (who know my SVX quite well) were kind enough to give me as a present the below. Already have one like that in use in the truck, but this one will go in my stock of spare parts for eventual future need.
Item is going to be rare as hens teeth as it is a JLR Switzerland design/production in limited quantity. No official part number, production won't be repeated, never been available for sale at all either. Typical Swiss quality too, if our importer decides to do something, they do it well. Absolutely chuffed. Eric Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. Langedoc is right. It is the stainless steel holder for the small LED Maglite with the LR 67YRS logo on it which our Swiss importer in 2015 had produced and installed exclusively in each of the Swiss Autobiography, Adventure and Heritage limited editions.
This holder is very well designed and can be installed on the under side of the passenger dash cover by a glued strip (the red line in the picture) and by clamping the two stainless end parts under the white styrofoam type part which comes standard under the black dash cover. The little 67YRS LED Maglite, really nice with the 67YRS logo and with a SOS signal function, can still be ordered today from JLR here in Switzerland, but these stainless/leather holders were never for sale, and will never be. That was exclusive for the 3 final limited editions. By my knowledge only two people in Switzerland, except those who bought a limited edition were able to get these holders (kitoper and myself). We received them as a present when I was able to buy two leather tool bags (of a different Swiss limited edition) that mcma1 is mentioning. Sorry Andy, I tried, but obtaining another tool bag and its rear door support was just impossible. Tried but failed at that one. But when a few weeks ago I asked my dealer to order another little 67YRS Maglite as a spare, I asked if he could ask the importer for another of those little supports for it, and yes, they offered me that free of charge once again. The mini Maglite and second support went in storage for eventual future needs, because once it is all gone, it won't be reproduced. Installed it looks as below.
