I've had one bubbling windscreen block changed under warranty on my March 2014 110 van, and also the pressed steel fuel filter cover in the offside rear wheel arch. There was no quibbling at all at the dealer.
I'll have a much better look over the rest of the bodywork next time I wash and polish the van now. |

My 63 plate 110 had bubbles on neaside bottom corner of windscreen surround and paint flaking of hinge blocks. Also paint flaking of small griil above bumper. Took it to Guy Salmond Knutsford and they took photo of damaged. To send t LR. They arranged for my defender to go in for repair under warranty. They fitted a new windscreen surround because the rust had gone through the primer. Also hinge blocks and small grill. Why this was being done i was lent a new Jaguar xe. I Collected the My Defender 10 days later. I could not ask for better service. I must point out i did not buy it from them. But what great service. Thankyou.

Been down to my local Dealers. They took some photos and with the service paperwork sent it all to JLR. Been told I should know the outcome in 7 to 10 days.
Will keep you posted. Noticed that the section under the grille is starting as well, but didn't mention this as its behind the winch! Cheers WYL 2015 90 Keeper 2005 R300 Keeper 2019 XC40 Shopping Trolley 2008 110 XS Utility (Friday Build) Gone! |

Well my local dealer (Farnells) rang yesterday and confirmed Land Rover would authorise the repairs.
They said it could take up to two weeks to repair😳 Which seems a long time but as long as the work is done right I'll be happy. Requested a courtesy car, first one available September 5th. So booked and waiting. Knowing my luck it will be a Adam👎 and not a Disco😊 Cheers WYL 2015 90 Keeper 2005 R300 Keeper 2019 XC40 Shopping Trolley 2008 110 XS Utility (Friday Build) Gone! |

We'll paint sorted. Took a week! Given a Disco Sport with 118 miles on the clock as a courtesy car. Well my 90 is a company truck, so loaded the Sport up with tools, paint, steps and dog and headed for the hills. I guess not many DS get put into ruts & mud and hill descent used before reaching 250 miles . Got a telling off from the very nice lady for having a dog in the courtesy car (no pets or smoking), I did clean the car the night before, so a few dog hairs, but she didn't bat an eyelid about the mud and the 400 miles This has caused problems as a DS may be my 3rd car, ! I did like the keyless entry, cruise control and 48MPG! On the plus side it will be the only car of mine the wife can drive. Happy Days

Glad to hear you got your corrosion sorted! Did they replace the surround or just rub down and paint?
Although I understand they are trying to save the condition and valet cost of the courtesy car... In my opinion I can use their car as I would my own... it's not my problem it needs warranty work and I have to do without my own car. |

Gents,
My still shiny MY16 110XS has just shown the first signs of corrosion. It appears as surface rust (which can be wiped off) on top of the bonnet opening mechanism. Can anyone suggest where this might be coming from? It is not obvious to me. |

Bonnet opening mechanism?
You mean bonnet latch in the engine bay? |

No I mean the mechanism behind the plastic lever in the cab above my right leg. I guess it's a water leak from somewhere but not sure where.
