Not personally, no (It was at the dealers for them to look). They say they checked for chafing etc, but didn't find any.

What I will say is that performance at the moment is very very lacklustre - even for a standard map. Turbo-related?

Not wishing to show my ignorance, but where do I look for the turbo pipes?

I remember sometime ago I noticed the steeing column was rubber off the hose that runs just above it,and there was a small chaffing mark on the hose. I put some duck tape around the hose and then used a cable tie to lift the hose clear of the bolt on the steering column. I tied the cable tie to the plastic trunking for the air intake just above it. Job done I thought. Recently I noticed that the main dealer had replaced the rubber hose. The new hose has two white marks at the top of it, which is how I noticed it, so it must be a revised hose. The trunking for the air intake has been pushed out from the inside of the wheel arch and wedged out by a piece of adhesive backed foam block. This keeps everything clear of the bolt on the steering column. This must have been a "fix as they come in directive". My hose was not holed yet the above modification was made. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Thanks - Think I will need to get the dealer to look at it. Interestingly, I have noticed a strange sound (almost like the ABS kicking in) when pulling away with steering lock applied). Maybe related?

Did a read of the diagnostic codes this morning, and apart from the usual suspects (triggered by the remap, and nothing to worry about), I had the following:

U0155 - Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module

U0300 - Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility

P1643 - CAN Link Engine Control Module/Transmission Control Module Circuit/Network

Screech on acceleration could be the early indications of a leak in the turbo to intercooler hose, probably caused by the hose rubbing on the steering column adjacent to the steering box. I believe that this can cause MIL activation if it results in the turbo overspeeding.

Your noise - like a fanbelt slipping - sounds exactly like the noise I had when I suffered the above hose failure. Pressing the load pedal would make it happen; you could almost play tunes with it.

I have been having a few problems also over the last month and those codes have been on mine too

I have the following on mine:
P0100 Mass or Volume Air Flow "A" Circuit
P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Control Circuit Range/Performance
P0606 Control Module Processor
P068A ECM/PCM Power Relay De-Energized - Too Early
P1402 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Metering Orifice RestrictedP0404
U0155 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module
P268B High Pressure Fuel Pump Calibration Not Learned/Programmed
P0299 Turbocharger/Supercharger "A" Underboost Condition
P1643 CAN Link Engine Control Module/Transmission Control Module Circuit/Network

Would any of these be the reason for rough running and very poor MPG. I had a BAS remap but have gone back to standard prior to going to dealer.

Ian

I see you are getting U0155 which is lost communication with the instrument cluster.

Since early december I have been getting this one too. I have jsut been out to read the latest ones and it was on there again. Off down to Portsmouth tonight so have cleared and will see what is on there again.
