DAB round Edinburgh is very good. MrsK's Evoque has it. Chrystal clear.
At home (15 miles WNW of Edinburgh) - I get 100% signal strength on my HiFi DAB - but I do have an 18' aerial in the loft... I believe the transmitter is Fife (Craigkelly) Heading North up the A9 from Perth it gets poor around Drumochter IIRC. In Aviemore, portable DAB radios are not great (nearest DAB transmitter is Black Isle I think), so I have a dipole aerial on the roof of the house and even then only get 40-70% signal strength. I have a Blaupunkt Woodstock and it works well. I think it is the same with all these things it depends on the location of the antenna and how it is mounted. Mine has a windscreen aerial.

I have a Sony MEX-N6001BD in my 2012 TDCI and it works fine with the standard antenna (DAB splitter needed of course).

I have a pioneer cheapy job without CD from the orange and black shop with a teeny little magmount DAB antenna which sticks nicely to my Brownchurch Rack. Very rarely loose signal entirely even in remote bits of Wales and Devon. The old FM radio on the other hand, well that would only work on one station (which I didn't like) on a day without a Y in it on the ocaission of a blue moon. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I have one in mine, Kenwood head and roof mounted aerial (Hirschmann expensive but fab)!
Not in Scotland but works well in Derbyshire in all but the deepest valleys, The window stick on aerials are poor as I had one first and was disappointed. |

I have a pioneer one in my Td5. Drove from Cambridge to Largs and didn't drop signal once. Using a normal wing mounted telescopic antenna pulled up about 1/3 of the way.

Mine drops signal around home but Seems ok South of Morpeth.
I usually turn it off and use standard tuner. |
