Your opinions please; paint 'em black or get new ones?

Hi all

I recently got my santorini black 90 back from having warranty work done to paint work - great job. Whist it was there I asked the body shop to spray the wheels gloss black, as it was convenient and cheap. Unfortunately they sprayed them gloss silver, so now fully refurbed, but same colour Confused

What would you do?

Get the boosts sprayed gloss black, powder coated gloss black, or save the hassle and spend a bit more and buy some new wheels and sell the refurbed old ones?

I also can't make my mind up now whether to stick with the boosts or go aftermarket sawtooth wheels (replica not original, as too ££££). Sawtooths are quite common, whereas gloss black boosts are not.

They did offer, but I took a refund instead, as the body shop is a long way away and it will be a lot less hassle to get them done locally, if I go for a repaint rather than completely new wheels and try and sell boosts.

Hmmm, nice idea. Anyone it there with a santorini defender with gun metal/ anthracite sawtooths?

Hmm, why am I so indecisive! Money no objective, Bowlers. But money is an object, and I have new 16" BFGs....

Do like the look of he ZUs in the 110.

Depends entirely on budget. Cheaper option colour boosts, more expensive option new wheels. Not normally a fan of black wheels but black boosts on a black Defender would look good. New wheels would give you benefit of better offset.

Better offset? As in the track would be a tad wider without the need for spacers?

I've added spacers to our 110 on Boosts to improve turning circle and it is a great great improvement. The wider stance looks better too, but would prefer not to have spacers so new alloys with et0 to et10 would be my preference. Thumbs Up James
