Shouldn't do that, shouldn't be any alarm or horn noises once unlocked for any reason.

Mine beeps if the alarm has activated (I think) or maybe a door open (but I'd expect this on locking, not unlock) TD5 Defender 90

Mine has done that a couple of times Brendan and I put it down to the battery having less than a full charge, as it happened after over a week of non use...
There are a couple of peripherals that require permanent connection, and continue to draw on the battery after switch off... Truck starts okay, so the battery is not flat, just not full charge, but does do the weird single alarm tone after such periods... Rog... The GREEN One... Thanks Roger, think it will be a case of battery charger on tomorrow.

Could it be that you're catching the remote buttons as you turn the key? I've done that before now, and when I've lent my keys to people I've had some disarm the alarm, go to unlock the door and re-arm the alarm whilst turning the key so they set the alarm off.
