Booked in for a service next week, only five weeks overdue Worried I have messed up my extended warranty now, so sent an email to Ryan @ Landrover to see. I found I have done just shy of 6000 miles since the last service... 2011 110 USW

Not much to report on my 110, I did get another KM2 though. The guy at ATS said they are getting hard to get hold of now, not sure why.

Well, five years ago today (which was also a Saturday) I first went and had a look at my 110 at LPR. Five years on and that 30th Birthday present is still with my for my 35s, and next week the final payment will be made. Five years without any major hassles, well, it would have been if the factory had painted it properly, and if some lowlife hadn't smashed into it and ruined the wing. But otherwise all pretty good. On about 58,000 miles now and will be off for MOT next week.
Sorry (?) I have not really modified it or anything, it was just too prefect as it came... 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Usually, yes. Thing is I drive a 130 works van, plus various other Land Rovers all the time so there isn't much novelty for me in driving one now. I'm taking ours to Germany & Austria later this year which will be fun 2011 110 USW

I'm already very much "in tune" with the vehicle but I know what you mean, will be a nice break if nothing else, and I doubt I will see that many Defenders in Europe, never seem to. 2011 110 USW

Good for you mate, looks like it all worked out in the end, very pleased for you, you now have your Defender all paid up and for keeps and you have not put that many miles on her. That model in that colour.... is VERY sought after... VERY NICE |

Cheers Zag. The old thing is starting to show a little bit of age but all still good, hopefully many more miles yet to come! Can't wait for my trip to Germany, should get some stunning scenic photos there. 2011 110 USW

So the 110 had two weeks in Europe. Steady progress on the (somewhat dissapointing) autobahn saw an average low 30s mpg. Most of the driving was motorways, but I also managed some gentle mountain roads around Salzberg and Berchtesgaden.
I didn't get many photos of the 110 over there but here are a few... Near my friends house in Hamm. Click image to enlarge Atop a small mountain near Salzberg. Thanks! The Unimog Museum is good, but it really isn't set up for non-German speaking visitors which made it a bit difficult to understand all the info. The vehicles on display were very interesting though, and they also offer a short off-road ride in one.

Nipped over to Billing last weekend to drop off a PTO a mate had bought off me. Anyway I had to have a go on the off-road course. It wasn't as good as the Peterborough course I thought but at least I flew the flag for unmodified vehicles off-roading...
