I saw one (in Stainless) at the Scottish Land Rover Show.. a TMD one: http://tmdtuning.com/shop/ssteel-lower-grille/ Is that what you need? As I don't have aircon...I don't need one Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Hi Yannis, have a look at the Nakatanenga stainless air con grill on 4x4 Overlander.com
Available in naked stainless for painting or black powder coated stainless. Unlike others available it has the correct shape and size of holes in it so looks original. Brendan |

I fitted the Nakatenenga grille from 4x4overlander to mine (naked stainless steel version). It came with pop rivets but I used stainless torx machine screws with nyloc nuts because I was paranoid that the rivets would crack the plastic surround. By far the slowest part of the job was removing the rivets holding the old grille. I cut them off from behind using a Dremel-type cutting disc - drilling them might have been quicker, but I was worried about damaging the plastic surround. The new S/S grille rusted straight away, but I wonder if this could be residue from the manufacturing process, and not the grille itself
rusting. I haven't tried cleaning it yet, but it doesn't look as good as I hoped stainless steel would. I agree that anodised aluminium would be great but I didn't manage to find one. Click image to enlarge |

I would say take that up with Nak/4x4overlander as I would not expect a premium stainless grille to corrode like that. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I've just fitted the TMD stainless lower grille. Fitted great, stainless rivets supplied were great but way bigger than they needed to be. Pleased with the result, much better then the badly corroded original. James

Thats doesnt look impressive!
There was a grille being offered by tmdtuning.com, which got good feedback. Apparently best to stainless steel nut and bolt it on, as rivets also lead to a metals reaction problem. Discount code "angrypuma2016" gets a little off. Mine was done under warranty, rivets touched up by hand etc. Windscreen blocks/hinges done at the same time |

MWD, please email me at brendan@4x4overlander,com with your name and address, phone number etc so we can resolve this matter. An invoice number would be useful but not essential.
I will direct Peter at Nakatanenga to this thread for his input. IF ANYONE has an issue with an item we have supplied please let us know. Just send us an email with photos if possible, plus name/address/when bought etc and we will do our best to resolve the issue. If we do not know about the issue we simply can not try and resolve the issue. Brendan |

Looks strange!
The quality is 1.4301 Stainless. We never had problems like this. Brendan will change it FOC As it is on the laser cut edges it might be something from the manufacturing process. We will return the unit to the laser cutter for inspection. WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |
