Thius the only one I know of: http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/DefenderVENT.shtml From the pictures it looks like it works real good. Other option would be to see how much the Puma rnd vents are from LR and then do a bit of creative work with pipes to get it right. I would say that if you can afford the £130 and don't have time on your hands go for the kit If you are short on cash and have loads of time, manufacture your own kit

Hi Bruce
One of the guys in our club has done this to his TD5 and said that it was a worthwhile mod. Its on my to do list at some point. I have seen it elsewhere other than Mud UK but no real difference in price (prob more as the other company was in Europe). If you decide to do this also consider relocating the original screen washer nozzle and fitting a second one (use the left hand drive wiper arm holes) it much better than the original single set up. See picture below

Ive been tempted by this for a long time now. Was looking at think land rover supply the parts to do this too, not sure if it will fit the later TD5 dash though. Think it was fitted to the wolf??

I've bought the DefenderVent kit from Nakatanenga.de last week.
I plan to install this, together with a bunch of other mods, over the next couple of weeks (time permitting). Will report back on the results  . Peter,

Im going to check the diameter of the pipe under the dash that goes into the window vent, find some hose to fit, a T and some vents, I recken i will come in well under the price of the defender vent kit.
Im not that bothered about making the windscreen vent bigger, works ok for me and ive got a heated screen, so i only want the side vents, but I have been using RainX anti fog, which works quite well. |

My thoughts exactly Paul, its on my to do list and I reckon it could be done for just a few squid. My local pond centre has a massive range of pipe fittings and Im sure I could get appropriate T pieces and a piece of hose for under a tenner, that would just leave me to find 2 small vents which shouldnt be too hard. The front screen vents are modified as well, not just simple Y-peces added. They defog much faster than the original ones.
If you just add a T-piece it won't work, if you add a Y-piece it will wor better but with the DefenderVent Kit it will REALLY work. We tried all the above methods.... If you really want to try a DIY versin you can use Suzuki SJ or Samurai side vents, they fit pretty good. ....or buy the Defender Vent in a forum group buy WANTED:

Few more ideas there then, cant bring my self to buy the kit, after all isent making things and improving the truck all about owning a land rover?

Here - http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/side-wind...32984.html It cost him all of 50p using secondhand bits, but even if you used new bits, it probably wouldn't cost more than a fiver
Considerably less than the Military bits cost me
