That looks an amazing trip! Quite envious.
Why do you run the flag on the front? That is a genuine Landrover bullbar only sourced in Australia. Roadkill , Kangaroos/Emus etc everywhere out here so it is a necessity. |

South Aust. National Desert Parks you are required to have a 3mtr pole and flag on all vehicles to prevent head on collisions on sand dunes. |

Oh I see that makes sense. I'd seen them used in quarries but couldn't think why in the 'outback'. Looks an amazing trip! James

Congratulations upon using a very special Landrover for the purpose it was designed for.
Did it attract much comment/interest during your travels? Well done, Pickles. |

Interest, our travel group also included a Toyota Hilux and a Nissan Navara both heavily modified and capable vehicles and all wanting to see the Landy fail somewhere. Exchanged a passenger from the Toyota and he commented on the extrordinary comfort in yhe Defender .Exiting the desert via Nyngan we passed 45 Landrovers heading the other way which were from the Canberra Landrover Club and had some banter with them on the radio, Some surprised to see a Heritage exiting the desert!!
Generally most vehicles out there wave no matter what your driving because it is so remote. Allan |

I see the bullbar has "LandRover" stamped on it.
Did you buy from dealer - I.e. Is it a recognized LR "approved" accessory? Or an ARB rebranded item? Looks good in the grey/silver color. Awaiting my black (standard color) ARB - also for a 110 Heritage. On a trip last weekend almost connected a big Kudu bull on a gravel road - was most surprised by how the vehicle managed a true emergency stop - pedal pulsing ABS like but stopping dead straight with no swerving/rear end lighting up. Thanks for posting !! Edit: Sorry - saw your previous bull bar reply. |
