i have, thanks for the suggestion, have also spoken to Mike at 4x4 cb who supplied the radios. He always has something to connect one thing to another but no joy this time. Guess people don't mount displays in the headlining and put the unit in the seat box!!
Am a bit committed now though....... |

it shouldn't be too hard to make one up though, i wouldn't have thought...
I know it's not the same thing but this might give you some ideas as to how to approach it. |

Thanks, much appreciated, i'm concerned about reliability (and time taken to learn about it and do it) so could do with a coupler, or extension lead, or something similar that I can buy to just solve the problem.
Trouble with doing yourself is you then need a £50 crimping tool, a £16.50 crimping die, an fingers like needles!! Found one place in the US https://www.winford.com/products/cbm10.php that sells them so I know they exist but for a $8 cable, they want $55 to ship it here..... frustrating. Anyone got any UK suppliers? Have now tried RS, the usual google....... etc. Not sure if there's any computer based places out there that might do it. |
