Doctor Doctor - any ENT specialists out there?
what a nuisance....

as I walk along my ear sounds like it's a drum being banged. if I tap the top of my head same thing.
if I roll my head it sounds like water inside my ear drum slowly moving around.

I'm pretty sure it's fluid on the inside of my ear ie the brain side of my ear drum. any thoughts / suggestions (serious ones) gratefully received.

Thumbs Up

It's beginning to look like there's a certain character here from another lesser forum who is known for his recipes with carrot juice and fish oils whilst painting the undersides of Land Rovers with the aforementioned concoction Whistle

Oh why did you say serious suggestions. I was going to put , Yes, a tap on your head.

Seriously..........I had it last year lasted for 3 months had to have both ears syringed out. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,

Try steaming - iv had this that there is loose wax close to the drum or sinus congestion - it wouldnt hurt to try while waiting for the doctor Mike

Not going to give any ‘how to advice’ as I am no physician, but I will say that if this condition persist for more than forty eight hours make an appointment with your doctor as should it worsen and become infected you need to seek treatment before it causes damage to your inner ear. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Buy an otoscope and get your wife to have a look:

Saves having to wait for an appointment, sometime next year.

Please dont try to use an otoscope without training .......you might end up perforating an eardrum!Caterm you could go to a walk in centre if its an outer ear infection they may give you some steroid drops /antibiotic....if its an inner ear infection or a perforated eardrum (if its not leaking fluid thats unlikely)they will refer you on.
