My mattress has a waterproof cover on, but still needed to be lifted to dry the condensation under the mattress.
I added the Dry Mat stuff and it works well, no condensation or mould. |

Thermal dynamics and air flow. Using waterproof covers could make it worse and disturb your sleep.
You need airflow between the mattress and deck this allows air to draw moisture away. Thus the mating is the best idea but unfortunately also expensive. But that's life |

Our camper has Froli bed system http://www.froli.com/en/caravaning/ with a heating pipe along the end of the bed producing air circulation under the bed. Keeps things perfectly dry. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper
