Looks like 2 choices. Grind off the rings or fit a spacer between the foot and the dropper plate. Personaly would go with the latter.

I guess the spacer is the way to go. Just thought i'd see what other people have done.
It will have to be quite a thick spacer. Won't this have a bearing on the overall towing capacity? |

I would probably cut the bracket and reweld with an off set as it only looks like the width of the plate and i have the tools to hand
But it would be easier to fit a spacer |

Spacer ordered.
I guess i just won't do any heavy towing with the bracket and spacers attached. |

Why would a spacer put you off heavy towing? Darren

Sorry to necro a nearly 2 year old thread, but having just fit a rack this weekend and having ended up in this thread when working out what we needed thought I would just chip in with a few details.
Spot on with the 25mm spacer. You can get them with Maxxraxx but they are expensive at £17 for the spacer plus bolts, plus side is that it all comes together in one order I suppose. I found them around and about for £4-5+ £2 a pair for bolts. 90 or 100mm bolts on an M16 thread are what you're looking for. You don't need the full 100mm length but if you don't mind the extra turns, it buys you some slack for whatever you might be thinking of getting next. What I didn't have much luck finding was a black coated/anodised spacer. For those, like me before I dismantled the towbar, who might not have a clue what the spacer is or looks like, you want one of these: |
