My new dash trim - self install
Hi all
Wanted the leather dash trim, but thought the price was a tad high. So tried the leather covers sold via the popular internet auction site, and here's the results! Quite pleased with them, although I can see some minor imperfections which don't sit well with my OCD!

Those are they! Just take your time. I watched a YouTube video to see the technique and got high on fumes whilst doing it!

Glue was this http://www.diy.com/departments/evo-stik-co...234_BQ.prd

I've been wondering this for a while now, how do you fix the grab handle on when the leather covers the screws?

The grab handle on this kit has a Velcro along he back of grab handle which you use to secure, then use the glue to make permanent - the screws go between the stitching and when fully tightened pop right through and the stitching kinda self closed to hide the screws- can still get a driver in thought the gap if needed.

Or, put the screws in the grab first and then wrap the trim and use the holes in the stitching to insert the screwdriver Thumbs Up

Looks very neat. Have you had any issues with the leather bubbling orripples in the finish. Guess that is the issue when trying to get larger areas such as door cards to work.

Not yet - but you do need to glue small bits at a time, starting from the centre and stretch as you go and don't rush it- the glue sticks instantly so you have to be certain of positioning. Not difficult though and all in took me an hour.
