New Take off Parts Doors
Hi folks,

Does anybody know where I can pick up a set of new or nearly doors for a 110?

Colour is not important as will be repainted.

I'm looking for doors ideally within 3 years old.

Alternatively I will buy new doors and just buy all the internal bits.

I'm also looking for a roof to suit a 110 CSW (not van style).

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Andy

Probably best to go to a land rover show.
Went to Malvern today and a seller there had a nice pair of late front doors complete for £900.
They soon went.

Damn, just a pity I'm so far north!!!

A bit of a trip to pop down to englandshire for the weekend.

I am thinking about going to billing though, maybe i should take my wee trailer?

Cheers

At £450 each you'd be better off buying new ones from Land Rover.

hi,

I hear what your saying, but I have a 2001 110, so all the bits from my existing doors won't fit.

Buying new take offs appeal to me as the doors are complete, door cards, handles, electric windows etc.

Cheers

New take off are rare now but good late S/H come up on eBay often enough. Do your own research about the legitimacy of the source before you buy. Any decent breaker or private individual can give you the chassis number for the parts they are selling or the original receipt.

Thanks all,

What about these guys, any good?

http://www.cws4x4.co.uk

Also does anybody live in the Gloucester area who could have a look at a roof for me, they have one that is a few years old, looks to be same age as mine circa 2000 / 2001?

Even better if anybody can advise on a cost effective way to get a 110 roof from Gloucester to Aberdeen or even half way somewhere....

Cheers
Andy

I seen these new genuine puma doors for sale on ebay, rather pricey though.

There are also these which are, again, new genuine. They are pre-puma but a bit cheaper. Will buy a pair for myself one day Whistle

They sold me a pair of borderline scrap Puma axles as "ready to fit", charged me accordingly and then were not interested in resolving the problem.

In short: hubs and diffs full of water, 3 sets of wheel bearings knackered, all brake calipers totally seized, swivel seals shot, drive flanges worn.

The full extent of the damage was not discovered until their 30 day warranty was up, and they couldn't have cared less that they did not supply what was asked. I repeat - "ready to fit".

Shameful as I am previous happy customer, have recommended them and was recommended them again. But lesson learnt, when they have your money that's it.

Martin - shame I cant do Equicar Simon's local accent on the forum Laughing

They supplied the bodyshell, dash tunnel, strg box, front door electric window gubbins, other bits of trim, rear wiper and loom etc for mine. Not had a problem with them on other occasions since - will bear in mind though.

As far as doors, Simon has a buyer for all doors unless they are Censored d.

There is always the new Scottish Land Rover show in Edinburgh on the 1st weekend in July. http://www.scottishlandrovershow.com/home/4591699596

I cant seem to find out much about and who is going to be there but worth a shot and to be honest the website looks a bit amateur but who knows.
