Hi everyone, I do have a 2012 Landrover Defender Double Cab. I love this car but I find it to stiff at the rear especially. I guess it has to do with the fact that it is a Double Cab. Does anyone here know if there is a difference in the rear spring rate btw the the Double Cab and the standard 110 Defender ?. Im thinking about buying some softer springs for the rear and might also buy a new shocks if needed.
Thanks in advance BTW , I have had this Defender since I bought it new in 2012 and it has been very reliable and the only thing I have had trouble with is the vacum pump for the brakes along with the pinion seal and the rear wheel seals and the rear indicator, brake lights. All of that a easy fix. Other than that it has been just great . http://www.defender2.net/gallery/index.php?cat=13451 |

The shocks make a massive difference to the firmness of the back end

Yes, there are two different spring rates. You've probably got brown and purple springs which are standard on the DCPU, PU, USW and HT. The lighter duty station wagons have green and white springs which are a bit softer.
