We were due to leave on Eurotunnel early on Saturday morning for a week in the Vendee, but I'm cancelling the trip tomorrow Sad

The news and 'real life' feedback from forums show the situation is getting no better, and they are now deploying fuel reserves. We would need to refusal at least once on the way down, and I don't want to spend the week worrying about being able to get home, wondering whether we can go on day trips etc.

Bought the Tunnel tickets and accommodation with Tesco vouchers, and expected to lose them both. Really pleased that Eurotunnel allow a free re-booking as long as we tell them within 24 after we were due to travel, and Siblu camps will only charge £35 to rebook later in the year Thumbs Up

France is too nice a country for the French at times Laughing If this continues and wrecks Le Mans / Euros, I can see it having an effect on the Brexit vote...

Not sure how we'll spend next week, but I've just bought a trailer this evening so we could go camping in the Defender

Can I just check something please,

I too am supposed to be traveling to the Pyrenees on Friday night and have the eurotunnel booked for 10.20pm. If I were to not turn up and notify them within 24 hrs afterwards you are saying they will allow a free re booking?

Im seriously considering not going as I share your worries re fuel. The only difference is we sail back to uk from Spain so as long as we can get to the pyrenees we should be ok. decisions decisions Confused

thanks

Hiya. Yes, that's what they told me. As long as I informed them within 24 hours of booked trip. I booked with Tesco vouchers so wasn't expecting good news to be honest Thumbs Up 2020 110 D200 Base - Pangea with satin paint protection

Must say that I have not seen any queuing yet here in the Haute Savoie. However, colleagues in other regions (I work with a nationwide network of agents) are seeing problems. However, it seems to be (currently) localised in northern, rural areas. Motorway over the weekend, no problem. I am heading to Germany this evening, to pick up my wife's new TT, it'll be interesting to see what the problem is like on the way back.....will try and keep all posted, albeit regionally specific.. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

Went past 4 stations today and all have fuel. Typically the price has jumped 30%!!

Only one that stuck to their price was the big carrerour supermarket and that had a queue obviously. Still, at 86p a litre, its not bad!

Apparently the larger supermarkets in Montelimar have both petrol and diesel this morning and are not limiting how much you buy, so if they have it, I would imagine the autoroute stations on the A7 would also have it. Hopefully it won't have all gone by this afternoon Rolling Eyes

Well I couldn't find any stations open today around me. My farrier told me this afternoon that he found one with Diesel but the queue was three to four hours long and they limit you to 20 euros worth. Shocked

Looks like it's now spreading to Nuclear plants so power cuts are next I suppose. Evil or Very Mad

Perhaps I need to spend a day panic buying tomorrow Laughing

Thanks for all the updates guys Thumbs Up

Its interesting the amount of conflicting information around this as some report it as almost a Mad Max style wasteland with infighting for guzzoline and huge ques and prices while others are saying its pretty much business as usual. Read that as you will Whistle

Hope our french members have got some diesel and are able to get out and about.

I think he is going to brim the tank in Folkstone and then head straight to Disneyland, from there ether head north to Belgum for fuel or try and find fuel on the way back, and worse case scenario call the AA for a European recovery! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197
