Heritage Steering Wheel
Does anyone know the part number or where to get the center pad for a heritage steering wheel?

Australia 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
The centre pad off my Heritage 90 Steering wheel is pn 1048650Y22A. It looks identical to the one on my year 2000 TD5. I have replaced my wheel with a 15" Exmoor trim version.

The wheel itself is leather clad - nice perforated leather, but the centre pad is just leather grained rubber.

The symbol on a heritage truck is different. It looks like the badge on the back. Not the standard Land Rover oval.

The following is the standard Heritage steering wheel. Apart from the perforated leather rim it is the same as any other Defender.

I replaced it with a 15" Exmoor trim aluminium wheel which seems more Heritage to me.

I will be keeping all the original Heritage fixtures for my son/grandsons - I'm going to make it comfortable for me & they can put it back to standard in decades to come.

center pad logo is the difference hence looking for one.

i like the new one

suppose you need the wheel and boss

might have to get one for my 2015 xs, want something more retro

would love a wooden wheel, but might find them too thin to hold

I hadn't noticed that very subtle difference, & it is only in the shape of the oval, which is not a true oval. But no 1948/2015 like the Heritage badges.

That is off the little sticker on the back of the pad, and the only part number referenced.

Hi cozz, You do need the wheel & boss for the 2015 MY. I also got the snap off feature so I can take the wheel with me. This does bring the wheel about 2 inches closer to you, but I have quickly become used to this, but it does put the stalks a fair way away, it's just like driving my 107" Series 1 now, only with heating & aircon.

I thought about the wooden wheel, but just know the Australian sun will destroy the finish. Anything varnished in Australia dies a quick death.

Another bonus of this set up is you don't catch your finger nails on the instrument binnacle!
