New handmade Stainless steel tank arrived today
Must say, it's a work of art!! It's a bit like Christmas at the moment....

Well time has been ticking by, and I now realise I'm rubbish at keeping a thread going on this progress!
I always seem to be far too busy immersed in the shed! Today, saw a milestone reached in any Land Rover restoration, the rolling chassis...
Slight change in colour scheme since the last post, the AA legal dept asking way too many questions and made it difficult for me to continue in AA livery. So opted for the sage instead. Many days/weeks welding the chassis, and I finally managed to paint it last week.
Axles were rebuilt, awaiting chassis, as was the gearbox. All the hours of scraping, cleaning, un seizing, bleeding, and spending are starting to become worth it! So Today's offerings........ I am on the hunt for a couple more 600x16 Avon Traction Mileage tyres in good condition.
Getting very hard to find good original ones now, If by any chance you have any stashed away in a barn or shed Please drop me a PM

Yet another overdue update!
Don't know where the time goes?? DSV has been coming along nicely, I've been making the most of the light evenings.... Click image to enlarge Oil pressure on the 1600cc engine is spot on now, it turned out a costly job grinding the crank, and Re building the bottom end, but well worth it! With all the sunshine today, we took the top off the 86" and went for a nice drive, it's getting a few miles on the clock now so starting to loosen up nicely.
