2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green

Auction Prices

Went today to BCA Auction looking to bid on a 2009 Puma 90 basic SW. I was willing to swallow the VAT if the hammer price was reasonable, however it wasn't. Two private buyers pushed the price up to £21K including buyers premium. Considering that it wanted around £500 in remedial work to the body, a new drivers seat and new wheels to replace the very rusty steels ones I was taken back by the price given that I have seen 2008 90XS Station Wagons in nice condition for around £19K. Seems like Land Rover madness is still prevalent

I've got a fairly basic 90 2014 SW and thought I'd struggle to get £20k for it - now I'm wondering what it's really worth.

On the other hand I'm rather enjoying driving about in it at a sedate pace and smiling at pc plod hiding behind the bus stop and pointing his hairdryer at Vauxhall Corsa's.

A 59 Reg black 90 H/T with Overfinch wheels went fit £15k with no vat earlier this week. It's just pot luck with BCA, half the time the auctioneers end up buying them trying to push up the price. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)
