I saw that IRB and Alive both had videos of this on Facebook this week. A nice party trick but you'd have to stockpile half shafts if you were thinking of using it often! Tom

Its not launch control is rpm limitation when clutch is pressed. To use it as launch control even with the rpm limited to 2000rpm is a ridicules idea and will no doubt and it tears when the car does not set off from a broken half shaft as already mentioned.

Real launch control is way way more complex than this when implemented correctly.

This so-called launch control some are offering is no more thank a gimik and should be avoided if you have mechanical respect for your car. Smile

I agree.

And would only consider using it on loose ground - it did go rather well however when I tried it Mr. Green

For me it's rather useful to avoid accidental over revving Very Happy

But as said I think wasn't intended to be anything more than a gimmick.
