Additional switches are oe fog switch for light bar and heated seat switches with mobile centre looms so I think I'm good to go.

OEM heated seat switches and a fog light switch are not suitable for switching loads directly use them to switch an appropriate relay. So as long as that is what you intend to do then yes you are good to go. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

The factory heated seat installation does not use relays.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Thumbs Up You learn something new every day, I am sure years ago when I fitted heated seats to a TD5 there were relays in the loom and I reckoned the same would be true for Pumas as the switches look the same.
I also because of Reedx.net who states that heated switches need a relay it was true, never trust a web site Embarassed

Neither Td5 nor Puma heated seats are relayed... do I have to dig out the wiring diagrams to prove it? Wink Whistle Mr. Green

I agree these switches will not cope with large currents but they are more than capable of a handling a few Amps.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Sufficiently scolded, informed, advised, instructed and enlightened. Wink

Though to be honest I am not too keen on ‘Heated’ seats for when switched on they tend to make me feel like I want a wee… Shocked Laughing For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

If I had cloth I wouldn't bother, but as I have leather, it is bloody freezing in winter especially when its snowing out, the thought of a nice warm backside, a window i can see out of without having to scrape it and get ice down my sleeve and mirrors I can see into straight away, does really appeal to me.

Back in the days of the td5 I'd have probably been laughed out for even suggesting such sorcery Laughing

Pretty sure someone on here detailed doing these recently?

I've not done this myself but it can be done, although it requires the switching functions of the original switch to be performed by relays which in turn are operated by the D2 switch (this is a single pole switch which in the D2 signals the body control ECU to operate the indictors in 'hazard' mode).
