How can I find out what freq fob/plip to buy for my 08 PUMA?
Gidday,

So there are a few different options here for instance:

And elsewhere ...

Besides cost, seems like frequency is the only technical difference (note part numbers are the same).

How can I find out which frequency my 2008 2.4L Puma 110 SW uses?

I've scanned through every page of that .pdf of the microcat parts database (the one where the text isn't searchable) but didn't see a fob... Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

I guess this could be found through TOPIX with the vehicle VIN, but it is apparently written on the outside of the AS10 unit itself as shown in the linked picture:

Will have to check my own when I get home - I ordered a plip last week based on an educated guess....

My 2009 Puma has a 433mhz fob so I am almost certain that your 2008 one will be the same.

Some part numbers if it helps.

Fob with board YWX101220

Board Lucas 3TXD or 17TN same part

Fob case 100056

Regards.

Sounds like you got it sorted . I was wondering if you still had the old one, the frequency may be etched on the circuit board.

Bit late to reply to this but just a future suggestion look at TMD tuning website they do a all in one key and remote. I bought one last year as a key and remote just seemed odd. I would recommend a bit pricey but worth it imo.
