Alex is my niece and a really nice young lady - the fact she's a nutter has no bearing on anything Laughing Thumbs Up

Wifey has done that stuff,...she did 19 free fall jumps, jump out at around 12,000 ft, then freefall with somersaults, all sorts of other tricks, and then pull the chute at around 3000',.....I thought she was crazy!

My last jump - jump 74 - was December 2012! I haven't been since due to an ankle injury (should add it was completely non-jump related haha!)

I can't wait to get back in to it but stil having problems with my ankle so don't want to risk it and set the recovery back even longer!!!

I used to do all my jumping at Netheravon - much cheaper than Langar but given how far away it is, I wasted many a weekend hoping for the weather to improve or the winds to drop!

Netheravon is a nice place to jump. Am in semi retirement for the past 12 months myself due to work and family commitments and have done 412 jumps and am planning on a reserve repack next month and maybe do some jumping again from July

Yes, for the relatively small number of jumps Wifey did, she was bloody good. I remember, on her first jump, there were four of them in the plane, someone forgot a piece of equipment, so the plane had to come back,...and there was wifey sitting on the floor of the plane, relaxed as ever, chatting away to the other guys, ...not a sign of fear etc.....and this was to be her first jump!.
I was filming her as she landed, it had been raining, & the ground where she landed was damp, so she slipped over upon landing,.... she was not impressed that I had filmed her falling over!!
She would've done more jumps, but it would've meant more time, so she didn't do any more, but I was always very proud of her,.....some of her jumps were video'd, and I tell you, for those of you that haven't done it, just imagine somersaulting through the air, freefall, 12000 ft above the ground??!!....I could NEVER do it.
We've still got her altimeter! Pickles.

I have done one static line jump from about 3000ft with a rectangular parachute and I stepped onto the ground within the area of the cross but not on the middle. Once was enough. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Going on from what Pickles said, there is nothing to beat the thrill of doing a jump but there are easier means of enjoying some of the experience of flying without having to land, and that is in the tunnel. The video shows probably some of the best flyers in the world but if pretty amazing if you can appreciate just how hard this is.

Well done on your jump Lambert, once is a great achievement Smile
