Sounds like it could be a black 110 XS originally from Lookers Park Royal?

it was a green/cream 110 utility, I've met the owner on the plains before, can't remember his name, his other half is a photographer

Ah yes, on HD rims.... was a very active forum member; did a lot of miles and set up a transport business.
