Albert, i have a 2007 90XS that has and still is a great car and i see all this 20-30 year old stuff being sold for madness money way over what my vehicle would fetch. I have a bombproof engine, 6 gears, a heater, aircon, ABS, TC, leather front and rear, metal back door that doesn't turn to white dust and folk on here are selling anniversary models for treble the price of a good Puma.
They are rotboxes and are now looking like old tat but folk on here are after £40,000 for what i see are inferior in all ways compared to the Pumas? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS.. |

Respectfully your puma is ten a penny and anybody can buy them due to saturation much like a Ford Focus, this is a limited edition one of only probably 150 left on the road factory V8 auto. It's a classic that a puma will never be, It's as solid and in some cases better condition than most Pumas. Your post is a very strange challenge and I'm not sure if you're on the wind up or jelous! |

ENOUGH of the ad spoiling.
It's against the rules of the forum let alone just downright obnoxious. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

I agree with Martin.
Lovely things, the V8 50ths. Impossible not to have a smile on your face when driving one (or even near one!). This one looks nicely rebuilt and in good condition. Can't comment on price but defenders like this are surely a solid investment for the future. All the best Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

I've said this before, and We love Gracie, our 90 Puma, but unfortunately she would not compare with a 50th,..the BEST Defender ever made IMHO.
Never see 'em over here, in fact the only one I've ever seen in the flesh was outside Petts Wood Railway Stn, when we were in the UK around 2001! It's a shame something like a 50th wasn't included with the Celebration Editions? In the future, I can see totally original low mileage 50s being worth very serious money. Pickles. |

Wow that is a viscous post. Yes 50ths are strong money compared to modern Defenders but then again Mk 1 Golf GTI's are strong money compared to their modern cousins that have all the latest toys. It's up to the purchaser to decide what he\she wants for their money.
Anyone could buy new Dunlop green wellies for a fiver or they may choose to buy a used pair of Chameux wellies for £££££. I was always told my import would never be as special as a GB car but it was to me and I'm sure it is to the new owner. Good luck with your sale Albert. |

Ignore the naysayers Albert. If I had the spare cash I would snap your arm off.
I remember drooling over a 50th when I went to collect my new TD5 90 County S/W from Farnell's in Leeds. Unfortunately the company I worked for at the time couldn't be convinced that a V8 Auto was the one to buy Good luck with the sale. |

Maybe I could sell a kidney.......... I would sell limbs and organs........... What a lovely 50th, don't listen to the haters, this is a true classic...with a V8. A Puma does not come close to your 50th Albert, I love it. But, ..... Alas.....cannot afford it Good luck with the sale, shouldn't take long buddy. If only I had the cash...
Slightly off topic, you say one of only around 150 left on the road. My limited knowledge of them thought about 300 were built? Have that many been killed off? Can't imagine anyone scrapping a 50th. |
