Hi guys,
I'm interested to get some twisted wheels, 18", but came across vbs nemesis which looks similar but much cheaper. Can anyone tell me what are the differences and if I should go for nemesis instead? Thanks. Attached links to both wheels. https://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/18-x-9-vbs-neme...20defender http://twistedautomotive.com/store/twisted-alloy-wheel/ |

Thanks for the reply.
I see you have a Silverline black sport? Do you mind telling me how much did that cost you? Ok, just re-read your reply, twisted and silverline sport are the same, i assume for the price too? |

I'm having a set of the vbs alloys fitted very soon indeed. I'll try and remember to post some pictures when I get my defender back 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Twisted have purchased the rights to the Silverline sport wheels and hence they are now only available through Twisted themselves. |

Draging up an old thread I know but I test fitted one of my wheels when I went to see progress on my defender. Another plus for the vbs is that it uses standard land rover wheel nuts so if you have a standard spare you don't have to carry the nuts for it...

Does anyone know where the VBS wheels are made? I'm trying to decide between the Nemesis, Overfinch Apollo or Bowler 18" for my 110, but there is not much info on the VBS wheels out there. Seeing the similarity to the Twisted, and Manta Nero, I wondered whether maybe Silverline makes the Nemesis too...

If that is true I can't imagine Twisted being too happy having bought the rights for their wheel from Silverline only for them to introduce an almost identical model with a different name!! |

I can't for a minute imagine Silverline actually make anything. They are just a big unit on an estate selling and fitting tyres and alloys. Just like the blindos they have the rights to sell. They just get everything imported

Click image to enlarge A pic of the Twisted wheel from the web. I agree the VBS will not be made by Silverline as they are an importer only. Prefer the Twisted with a deeper dish and a better offset compared to VBS - I also personally like the satin finish as it doesn't show brake dust and dirt as easily. Those VBS will be hard to keep looking new. |

I thought they were both ET10, unless Twisted are still doing ET0 as an option?

OK, to put it to bed I spoke to a very helpful chap at Silverline
Manta and Twisted come out of the same Italian factory, which is part of the Silverline group. VBS Nemesis is made in China, and nothing to do with Silverline. There's my decision made |
