just a quick point to make re the LPG.. she still makes 240bhp on gas, and switching between gas and petrol can be done on the hoof by simply pressing one button the dash... as I've said before if the new buyer doesn't want it then it can literally be unbolted and sold on and no one would ever know it was there...

Jimblow?....No, just get rid of that LPG NOW, it ain't just a matter of "unbolting",...ya've still got the tank, the lines, the fittings, etc etc.
IMHO, get rid of it now, there is no useful aspect, to PURISTS, in having an LPG system on this car. NONE.....and let's face it, it is a "PURIST", that knows "50th", that's gonna pay your price, & buy this Defender. And, I do LOVE your Defender, Pickles. |

I would agree with Pickles,
A beautiful 90 that is worth every penny that someone is willing to pay for it, but its only ever going to be bought buy a collector/purist & used as a weekend toy at most & if you can afford the asking price then a few tanks of fuel a year is a drop in the ocean! (IMO) |

Nearly £40,000 is millionaire loose change but all the millionaires i know don't run 20-30 year old Defenders. For us poor boys it would be impossible to finance it.
Nice though and GLWTS. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS.. |

Thanks Iggle,,..this car is a REAL CLASSIC, it does not need "peripherals", like LPG.

Its a lovely 90 but I agree with the above, get rid of the LPG conversion and those LED headlights. Both are great upgrades on the right vehicles but not required on your 50th. The chances are it won't be doing loads of miles again in that kind of condition. Its very unlikely whoever buys it is going to be worried about a few extra quid in petrol. If it was completely standard it will appeal to more people. Just my opinion of course! 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

The 50th is a lovely looking vehicle but it's still a V8 90. For me I would buy this one for £5k, spend another £2k getting it sprayed up and then use it.

A really nice 50th and well restored but I'm with Pickles too....ditch the LPG to keep it original and your more likely to get closer to your original asking price.
