[Wanted] Sankey ring hitch
Had a little bit of hassle with my Narrow Track Sankey last week, when reversing it got a bit tight and the ring must have been stiff and failed to rotate leaving me with a banana shaped hitch.
If anyone has swopped their towing ring damper assembly for a 50mm ball hitch or could tell me whether a later type ring assembly would fit, I know they're shorter when it comes to activating the brakes but I shouldnt think it would take too much modification to make it work.

That is a very common event and is the reason why later military trailers have non-rotating lunettes and rotating pintles. As the trailer angle increases the ring rotates to a vertical orientation, and why you pull forward and straighten up it cannt ride back up to its horizontal position, so it bends.

Somtimes it will also bend the rear crossmember, so in many ways you have been lucky, but beware in future. After reversing round tight corners, always check before pulling forward.

Sorry, I can't help with a new lunette, but this might at least save your next one.

Yes I have seen it but he seems to be a little ambitious when you look at an advert like this! http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listi...PLETE.html

I'm going for this and adapt the brakes (y)
