A retrim is easy enough, I managed it.
The only trouble is Exmoor's customer service which was pretty pants for me last year. I don't think the headrest is adjustable? As for one being cloth and the other vinyl, I would say that means one has been retrimmed in the past already. |

I guess Defenders bring out the kid in most of us? From a young age I was very much into 'destructive testing' which would see me taking a new toy apart in order to find out how it worked. Usually it contained something spring-loaded, which meant it never worked when it was put back together. But I learned lots of things; principally that it's not a good idea to dismantle something unless you're sure you know what you're doing.
The Defender is great because you can take things apart without too much worry. and even if you do mess up, parts aren't that expensive. So my rule now is to dismantle/clean/service/paint/lubricate everything I remove before putting it back Simple, right? I wonder if duck tape will hold the foam together till I get a new one Click image to enlarge Mid Life; Live It! Duct tape has held my driver's seat foam together for the last 100,000 miles!

I worked in NIreland for the electricity company and saw defenders put through their working life in 18 months! Best mod/worst mod was watching two linesmen deciding which blade to put in the bow saw to cut a wedge out of the dash to fit their aftermarket stereo...the defender was 2 months old.....

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I typed "Defender Seats" into Gumtree and saw these lovely original seats which have been fully refurbished (by Exmoor) in green/cream. Assuming they'd be in Kent, you can imagine my delight when I discovered they were just 50 miles from me! That's my favourite colour combo and I think it really lifts the interior, albeit there's much more to be done. Mid Life; Live It! They look lovely and as Lunasa says they complement the exterior. Also should brighten up the interior.

A bit of a diversion from repairs and modifications; I got the opportunity to take the road less travelled yesterday leading to a very remote spot in the Grampian mountains between Glenshee and Blair Atholl. It wasn't exactly challenging off-roading but some sections certainly could not have been done in a car. This is what Hulk was made for - and he did it very well
