BAS VGT turbo and custom intake pipe with no oil breather pipe as I am dealing with crankcase venting away from the intake.

Getting close now. Almost completed the exterior, but still needs to fit out the interior, including all the dash build and wiring. The new heated screen from VGS is in - easy job when there is no interior trim or dash to get in the way! I tried fitting it to the frame when it was off the vehicle at first but I found this far harder than with the frame on the vehicle. The whole thing was just moving around too much.

Can I ask why you have gone Auto box ? Is the transmission tunnel/ cover in the cab different to a manual one?

Interior taking shape now. I have a Raptor dash console to mount all the additional switches for heated screen, heated seats, light bar etc. I also relocated the rear heated screen, fog light and hazard switch from the panel by my right knee to the middle console. All on Carling switches.
I have used a 6 fuse aux fuse box located under the auto console to power the extras. A single starter cable runs from the battery to the fuse box. Click image to enlarge |

I just really like auto's. I think the Defender drives so nicely with the auto, much smoother and quieter, however you do need to up the power to deal with an auto. The transmission tunnel for R380's onwards is fine to use with an auto and needs no modification. |
