Dixon Bate shocklink
Hi,

I have obtained a Dixon Bate shocklink.

Does anybody know if this will fit a standard Dixon Bate adjustable height coupling back plate?

I want to use the Shocklink on 2 defenders and thought that the best plan would be to fit the shocklink back plate on one Defender and an adjustable height coupling backplate on the other thus making everything interchangeable, but of course this depends on them being the same size with the same hole configuration hence the question!

Hi Chris, we have a shock link fitted to one of our Defenders except that one is not at home at this moment in time.

The fixing plate is attached to the back of the shock link so all you do is pull the two pins out to transfer it between Dixon Bates towing equipment.

Hi Brendan,

Yes, that's what I want to do, just wasn't sure whether the fixing plates for the Shock link and the adjustable hitch were the same width and the locating holes had the same pitch to enable interchangeability between the shocklink and the adjustable hitch carrier plate.

I have the Shocklink and it matches the adjustable plate on my Land Rover supplied tow bar. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

So, looks like it will fit, I believe the LR adjustable hitch is made by Dixon Bate.
