Yup, worse. Even during grey days. Had it just a couple of hours ago. You get used to it, but every now and then it scares the beejesus out of you... Shocked Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Any fix for this?

Mine are not tinted and this happens a lot, as you say you do get used it it.

Would a blind be better? pull down one? for the rear window. (it could fit the larger window the two smaller ones I guess would still require tints to match?

I want to get my 110 utility station wagon done, so messaged the local, place that also offers 10% discount to my works staff.

First of all

Quote:
To tint your vehicle from the B pillar back would cost £250. If you wish to add the front driver and passenger windows we only charge £55 extra.

All our tints come with a lifetime guarantee to ensure they stay looking perfect. We have a range of tints to choose from, you can have anything you want without affecting the price. We tint between 10 and 20 cars a week so we can assure you of perfect results.

We would be happy to offer you 10% discount in the above price for ****** staff

Then following my reply

Quote:
The issue with the defenders is due to how the glass is fitted they are very hard to tint, a lot of companies will tell you they can't be done. We have done them many time and you can see examples of that work on this page. However due to the increased time it takes we have to charge more than a usual tint.

What we often do is to vinyl wrap the alpine Windows, as they are very hard to tint and it can't be done perfectly. If you were happy for us to wrap those widows, based on the glass you have we'd charge £185 for the backs.

Does this seem correct?!

My local tinter does the JLR dealership tinting work and said they don’t do the Alpine windows any more because it messes the seals up and had too many customers complaints. Not sure how to proceed on the alpines now, any ideas please? Does anyone sell factory pre-tinted glass and fit them on the rears to avoid the lines mentioned earlier? TIA

Had my tints done recently and they had to vinyl wrap the alpine windows rather than tinting them, only way round it would be to remove them and tint film them then put them back in, not sure if you would catch the edges of the vinyl putting them back in though, pretty sure I have seen factory tinted windows for sale in the past Confused
